Our cyber-physical learning and research platforms, CP Lab and CP Factory, provide fundamental and in-depth knowledge of fully-automated digital production technologies, as well as the layout and programming of digital equipment networks. The individual modules of these platforms model the workstations of actual production systems. This creates a strong foundation for learning the many technology areas associated with the operation and continuous optimization of networked systems.
CP Lab
CP Lab is our professional and compact Industry 4.0 learning system which includes all the technologies and components needed for communicating an in-depth knowledge of Industry 4.0 or the Industrial Internet of Things.
CP Lab covers complex, software-related Industry 4.0 topics in the field of mechatronics and automation technology and therefore serves as the optimal basis for a profound education in mechatronics, practical training for technicians as well as for the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics study program.
The CP Lab integrated learning system is based on one or more I4.0/IIoT project workstations and allows for modular expansion. It can be used as a stand-alone workstation or set up in various layouts via the pallet recirculating system. Additionally, it can be combined with other training systems, for example, the CP Factory.
The actual training content, such as systems networking, material and information flow in complex systems, and process planning, is taught using our wide range of CP application modules.
- Basic module with control cabinet and conveyor belt for transporting the workpieces to pallets
- Touch panel for operating the CP Lab
- Application module as an attachment
- Switches and deflectors
CP Factory
Our universal cyber-physical learning and research platform for I4.0/IIoT – models the technologies of networked production and provides a modular smart factory system for teaching and research purposes.
The CP Factory conveys highly complex technologies and digital production methods. System flexibility enables you to model individual production layouts, and equip them with all relevant technology modules.
Stand-alone or system network
The standardized stations consist of cells with identical dimensions. A laboratory made up of individual workstations can very quickly be turned into one or more production lines focusing on different areas of automation. They can, of course, also be used as stand-alone workstations. The exceptional flexibility of a CP Factory system is based on the design-standardization of its cells, which is always identical: dimensions, track rollers, control cabinet, conveyor, control console, system cable.
Transfer conveyor, workpieces and applications
The wide transfer conveyor ensures a continuous pallet transport through the production layout and can be connected, via a deflector cell, to an additional system network or to a stand-alone system . The connection is made via a mobile transport robot. The CP application modules are mounted above the conveyor, defining the specific automation technology focal points of the individual cells.
