Exploring Mechanisms

The Festo Exploring Mechanisms Training System provides hands-on instruction in the fundamentals of mechanical power transmission and simple machines. Students explore force, torque, work, power, energy, friction, mechanical advantage, gears, belt drives, chain drives, pulleys, rotation, and tension. Using an operational elevator along with gears, pulleys, belts, and sprockets, students build and test mechanical systems while developing practical skills for engineering, manufacturing, and mechanical technology careers.
